Memories of the John Muir Trail Pt. 2

Through-hiking the John Muir Trail would possibly be my greatest life achievement so far.

At the top of Pinchot Pass (12,050 ft / 3,672 m). It started to look more rocky from here at the higher elevations.
An American pika, native to the American mountain regions. They’re cute little rats!
Thousand Island Lake
Catching fish to supplement our meals. The trout was delicious – fresh from the lake/river to our pot! At times when we could have a campfire we would grill the fish over the fire.
